Our bodies hold the innate capacity to heal, and when we support and honour our own processes and natural cycles we can promote and support optimum health and balance in our own lives. I believe in a person-centred and holistic approach to healthcare that provides for the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual well-being of each individual.
I hold both a B.A (Hons) Psychology, and a MSc in Health Psychology, in which I integrate psychology, nutrition, aromatherapy and body work to facilitate a return to that place of "wholeness" for each individual. I place a strong emphasis on nutrition, stress managment, and relaxation as personal pathways to healing.
My main areas of interest include working with and supporting women throughout their natural cycles through fertility, pregnancy and menopause. I also support women who have experienced trauma and loss through miscarriage or multiple miscarriages, and as a result may be carrying grief and loss held at a somatic (bodily) level.
My work is broadly influenced by Jungian Psychology, and I work with individual clients who are interested in undertaking deeper therapeutic work through engaging the body as a gateway to the unconscious, as an access point for shadow work and as a source for emotional healing. I see each client as central to their own healing process and s/he is encouraged to be an active participant in their own health and healing.
In addition to Psychology, I have trained in Reiki and qualified from Walmer college with ITEC diplomas in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, and Diet and Nutrition. I also hold qualifications in Reflexology in Pregnancy and Childbirth (MRTP I), Fertility Reflexology (Sarah Holland, Fertility Reflexology Network), Reflexology in Cancer Care, Craniosacral therapy I and II, and Ayurvedic Kansa Vatki foot massage TM. I am a qualified Dietary Counsellor from the Institute of Health Sciences.
As I am a registered member of the Irish Reflexologists’ Institute Limited (IRIL), members of VHI, Hibernian Aviva and Laya Healthcare can apply for a refund through their health insurance.
